Police said Thursday a couple shown on surveillance photos after allegedly leaving a Hilo restaurant without paying returned and paid the check on Aug. 3.

No charges are being filed and the couple is no longer sought by police. The woman told the Tribune-Herald in an email the couple left Ken’s House of Pancakes on July 30 because of an autistic child’s outburst and had intended to return to pay the bill.
